It is not a brush to download, but a setting to draw for example a frame around an image If not already opened go to Windows > Dockable Dialogs > Paint Dynamics, once opened, go at the bottom of that dialog and create a new dynamic ![]() A new dialog opens, check the checkbox at the intersection of Fade and Angle, and give it a name (at the top), here I named it Rotative, we are done with dynamics ![]() ![]() Select the brush tool and a brush in the Tool Options, for this example I selected the most common/used brush in GIMP and input those settings 1Brush: 2. Hardness 075 2Aspect Ratio: -14 (minus fourteen) 3Dynamics: Select "Rotative" (or the name you did gave) 4Extend the Dynamics Options to unveil the Fade length and Repeat and Inverse options 5Fade lenght: ~200, 6Repeat: Sawtooth wave, 7and check Inverse Now you're good to go ![]() ![]() One dab on the canvas, Ctrl+ Shift + click on the other side of the canvas for a straight line. Result in just Ctrl+ Shift + 4 clicks after the first dab ![]() Attachment: result.jpg [ 139.18 KiB | Viewed 1021 times ] |

Post has been moved and also given a new name 'Brush Dynamics Tutorial for a Frame'. Thanks for this tutorial. Don't know that anyone has done one on dynamics before? It is now in the list and also in the newest tutorials list |

Thanks again for this. Using this dynamic and stroking a path makes for an interesting finish. The only one I've used before was track direction. |

Indeed, it's much more a tuto than a brush, thank you Sallyanne And also your title is way better IMO ![]() ![]() sallyanne wrote: Don't know that anyone has done one on dynamics before? I might have made one long ago to make some sort of "rope threads" > https://media.sciencephoto.com/h1/00/04 ... 0px-wm.jpg still with the "rotative" but 3 circles selection and a gradient inside each circle But I can't recall if it was a "tuto" or just a participation to a thread in here ![]() |

I did something similar a while back. Same method, but a different use. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=18967&p=258862#p258862 |
