Yeah it's nice to have the money and resources to make such cool vehicles. I found the Conformal Maps, thanks.

You got the speed just right on that one racer-x.

Background done with Photocomix Wild Cartoonizer and 2 passes of Spherize. Vehicle has Vibrato by Reptorian. This filter works well on metal surfaces.

Unfortunately some of Reptorian's filters like Glass Vignette don't work with this method.
Also Wild Cartoonizer doubles the number of layers.

Theory - If the numbers of frames in an animation is less than the angle that the wheels turn then it will appear the wheels are going backwards. :)
