Simple frames using brushes

1. Set the brush tool Dynamics in RANDOM COLOR
2. Use a pipe brush with spacing over 100
3. Use a gradient like TROPICAL COLORS
4. Fill the white new image with the brush
5. Open a transparent rectangle or oval in the middle
6. Open as a layer a picture and put it under the first layer ; merge
7. go to the frame layer : alpha to selection and stroke selection

No, it's one I found.

Your idea is great fun to play with. Made a Halloween one using Graechan's Font to Image Hose script.

Every where I go in this forum I seem to be following Graechan!!

But I liked this topic and because i have just downloaded Graechan's pipe brush tool I thought I might contribute, but with something of a slightly different nature - football, the EPL in particular as I found a 'font' that comprises all the insignias of EPL clubs. Added a few bevels and a glass football pitch too.

I stroked the selection/path of something with a star brush once and it made and exellent frame.

Unfortunately I can not repeat it.Brush gets smaller as it goes along the path.

Well thank you Marcello - sometimes the old brain clicks into the right gear. Hopefully my football team (Western Sydney Wanderers) will also click into gear this coming Saturday when they play the final of the Asian Champions League against Al Hilal in Riyadh!!

Sallyanne, do you have your dynamics set to random? Maybe that would make them change size.

I love the sardine picture!
the brush get smaller maybe to the no-correct settings of the painbrush tool
BE SURE THAT THE DYNAMIC IS "Basic Dynamic"
