I hope this tutorial can be helpful to create this effect named "Double Exposure". :)
Here you have a new technique to get this effect, maybe you find it more artistic.
(see samples and results) at the end of the thread.

May i suggest that you guys do a google image search for Double Exposure ?!

What you will discover is that most of the image examples clip the double exposure to a shape (often the head and face of somebody), which, in my opinion, makes for a stronger effect.
