Hey everyone! I know I am not a good GIMP image maker, but I couldn't find a good one on this subject, so I made my own. I pieced some together and came up on this! I will include the links to all XCF's and the coding some might find useful. This took me forever( over 5 hours) so be happy :)Sorry for terrible mic quality, I am on my cheap headset!

www.youtube.com Video from : www.youtube.com

Here are the written steps!
-Make a new file with the sizes being; w-960,H-1600.
-Add a new layer and make the sizes the same EXCEPT make the layer fill WHITE.
-Use bucker fill and make the new layer BLACK or another dark color.
-Then click on background and go to IMAGE> Canvas Size, then make the Width 1600 and H 1600 then click on the Chain links to the right and unlock them. Make sure your Width and height are 1600!!
-Then you delete your background layer.
-Be creative and design your very OWN myspace background!
~~UPLOADING!~~
-Go to your myspace profile and click on "My Profile" then Customize profile.( Make sure to be using 2.0!)
-Click "appearance," then click on select theme. Select NO THEME!(First theme) Then go to the option, "Change Layout," UNDER "Select Theme." Choose the option that looks like a header and a blank page, the last one.
-Now click Advanced Edit. Click on the Background, and then you need to fill in your URL with the URL of your uploaded picture. Now click on Publish(Right side of screen on top) and then OK.

You did it! Congratulations! Now lets move onto the content boxes. They are harder, but still can be done. I included the XCF's, and if you use them or do the measurements yourself you will get it. Again, the sizes are 960, but depending on your content, your H can be a really big number! I used media player, friends, and details in my TUT!

After you have your measurements or use the ones I made, you just have to fill them in with whatever you want. They are thin and you cannot add much into them.

~!UPLOAD!~
-Go to your myspace profile and click on "My Profile" then Customize profile.
-Click advanced edit and then click the different choices UNDER background. Include your URL to the proper section and publish. There isn't much to this part.

I hope you all enjoyed my tutorial and if you need any help, feel free to ask me and I will see what I can do!

Save ALL images your going to upload as JPEG!

Makes your Details centered on Profile

Thanks for watching but I should have went to bed more than 6 hours ago! At any rate, I hope you guys enjoyed and learn something!

Thanks,
M3SH

Wow, M3SH, that's very nice. Even if your mic is not your best, it is very understandable.

You went to a lot of trouble to make this tutorial.

It must have taken quite awhile to put it all together.

Thank you! Nice job!

Oh, wow! I am very sorry for mistaken you as a man "O." That will not happen again, and again, I am terribly sorry.

No prob. My name doesn't give any gender clues.

I get a request for this so often, but am not familiar with myspace.

Can I suggest you leave a link to this thread in the description of the video so people who find you through youtube can find all the info. :)

I could have used this a few years ago! Now I rarely go to myspace, I use facebook mostly. But I am glad the tut is here, because I do want to go fix up myspace with a new look one of these days.

Most certainly will do Jolie. Sorry I didn't get to this sooner 2-ton. I, myself, and not big into myspace. I just figured with facebook being under fire all the time, this might be something to bring out myspace again. Anyways, glad you all liked it and I am putting this link in the video now.
