Here is a tutorial based on sort of a new script named Chisel.I'm not sure if O wanted this type of tutorial or another glass tutorial.I am sure O will let me know. =P
I am going with the Regular Script Tutorial.
This script was written by RobA. and if you want to follow along with this tutorial you will need to download the script here. http://registry.gimp.org/node/24217

Copy the script to your user/Gimp 2.0/Scripts folder.
Make sure to unblock it in Windows right click choose properties and click - Unblock - Apply - Ok
The script is now executable.
Ok i am using Gimp 2.7.1 in this tutorial, but any version will work so long as you installed the Chisel script.

Open Gimp and create a new document 700x250 with a white background
Double click the text tool, this opens your tool and its options.I am using a size of about 150 pixels and a color of black.
Font face is Tahoma Bold.
Type your text and center it on your image.Name the new text layer Chisel.
Right click the Chisel layer and choose Image To Layer Size.
Select the gradient tool - select the Rainbow #4 gradient in your gradient list.
Right click the Chisel layer again and choose Alpha To Selection - go to Select/Shrink and type in 7 for the value - click ok
Now just create a gradient top to bottom in your selection.Go to Select/None
Your image should look something like this..
Image
With the Chisel layer still selected, go to Filters/Decor/Chisel
Put in these values...

And there you have it the Chisel script. Play with the values and see what you can come up with.

Thanks for checking out the tutorial.

Thank you O! :coolguy

:wow , i can not believe how many textures were in that pack...hokie crap!

I tried downloading it 3 times and finally got it. I actually had one dl that said it was finished it had all but 2 mb downloaded so it was junk.
Normally my browser will dl where it left off if it crashes for some reason, but not this time.
I really need to figure out how to integrate Free Download Manager with Mozilla.I used to be able to right click a page and download all with FDM, now it's all screwy. =\

A really nice pack when you get it downloaded and unzipped though!
