I came up with this tut from an idea from Lylejk. Thanks Lyle!

Let me know if I left anything out or if anything is confusing.

Played with your tut, Greg, tried some "stuff" while I was at it, did other things. Wanted to make it look like the light was shining through the candy; that didn't come out quite how I'd pictured it.

When I make lollipops they are so well balanced they can stand up on their sticks.

You should be able to right click it and save it. It's just a jpg.

Looks good Molly! The grey color is right until you adjust the middle layer. My second time doing the lollipop, I came up with different reults than the first time. Setting the blend mode(s) and layer opacities are all variable and subjective. What ever settings you chose, it worked!

Somehow missed this tut PM; a little tired right now, but might try later. Not sure what I did that contributed to this tut, but wonderful results I see from what you've done. :)

Has anyone tried the gradient creator for this yet?
That link PC gave us has a link to a scm for a gradient creator.I installed it and ran the default, i now have a new gradient called lollipop, i included it in this post for dl, along with the xcf.
Just use spiral cw for the settings.

I keep trying to make bright colors and they all come out pastel.

Here's a lollipop I made from one of the gradients from the script.

I thought I had already done this tutorial. So, I decided to make a PM POP, too.

Grape. I like your translucent candy with the stick showing through. A Greg lollipop! Maybe we can sell a jillion of them. :hehe
