Erisian - thanks for your comment; this Gimp symmetry facility is fun, lends itself to post processing and seriously addictive.

Those look great, guys! I'll have to see how the plug in works!

Think it's just a new feature/filter in Gimp 2.10. I don't remember downloading anything and found it just where Erisian said it was
Gave it another try and then arrayed

And another. Finally realised, "why not use different brushes?"

Beautiful work sallyanne :paint :) You're right - it's a standard 2.10 plugin.

Thank you Erisian for confirming that.
Thank you for the compliment but I don't think I'll ever get them as good looking as yours or others here. Being it is called a Symmetry Painter maybe it is better suited to painters.
I did find however it is easier to create mandalas if you use different brushes and if you increase the points. Just need the artistic mind ;)

Erisian (and/or) Sallyanne (and/or) OMG
Would you have the time and patience to make a tutorial explaining how to get these various mandalas?
Because I tried several times but the result was lamentable.

Erisian, OMG and Sallyanne, wonderful, attractive mandalas. You have made me to do my try, too. Thanks, how I didn't know about this tool to create nice results.

Thanks Level, I'll write a tut for you, but I don't know much about it as this one has been the first one for me. Anyway, I'll tell you the steps I did. :bigthup :hi5

Sorry if I have any mistake because I only try to explain what I did to get this result and this is my second Mandala.
So, I'm very dare.

Issabella, thanks for taking the time to prepare the tutorial.

Dear Friends in the Distance: A fabulous series of works creating a sort of digital cathedral. Very grateful for your shared lights!

Made quickly yesterday thanks to Issabella.
I do not have adequate brushes, so I borrowed the erisian brush "tree" and its brush "grass" as well as the rich2005 foliage brush and also the "birds" of gimper66 (proposed on GC). Now that I have the basics, I will be able to improve. :)
With only brush "Erisian grass":
