Hi,

I bought a prayer bead sometime ago. I wanted to draw it in some computer software. Previously I tried it in Inkscape but the result was not satisfactory. This time I tried to recreate it in Gimp and the result is not bad.
I am a new learner of Gimp and have recently learnt the use of bump mapping. I tried to utilize the bump mapping method for its creation. Bump maps are shown in the image.

Marble Texture used the bump map.

I created a brush from a single bead and then utilized it to stroke the path.

The Muslims, the Christians and the Jews have been using Dates and Prayer Beads since the ancient time. I may say that Prayer Beads and dates are linked. Font is 'Palm' font and this represents Dates in this image.
