HELP!!! Keep Project Size Small

Tue Oct 15, 2019 8:34 pm

:gaah

Greetings, My name is topher from TopherKeenPhotos. I have been doing a lot of Photoshop Composite work but I am diving hard into GIMP.

The Scenario is, I want to use an image of an object several hundred times in a single composite. This sounds like a fun idea until the project size becomes several Gig in file size. There has to be a way to use a lossless image severy hundred times without significantly adding to the file size.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Topher

Hi. The physical image size of your photo is 6000X6000px. A big image to start with so multiplying it makes it unmanageable.
Its going to be used for the net so keep the size down both physically and in resolution.

I use the Guetzli algorithm from Google to retain content while reducing image size. A lot of people here have their own ideas on this but it works for me.
