Testing with pexels tiger, using animal preset.
I tried to move the presets folder from Desktop to home/user/pictures, and changed the name of input folder but it didn't work.
Playing more later, cool outcomes Issabella

I changed the link to the Presets in Documents (where I previously placed a copy)

Tried also using a copy of a different Presets folder (different name) in Pictures (as you like)

I guess you have to retry personalizing the link (it seems to work if correct).

Edit: IMO you tried to insert home\user\Pictures, but both home and user are assumed by the program when actualizing the link, they are redundant. Just replace Desktop with Pictures.

Yeah that was it, had home in front, removed and works now. But I ran into another problem with the main filter when trying to choose patterns.

Plug-in "DIEGO_ARTISTIC_AquarellePlusPlus2.py"
(/home/nidhogg/.config/GIMP/2.10/plug-ins/DIEGO_ARTISTIC_AquarellePlusPlus2.py)
attempted to install procedure "temp-procedure-number-1" with invalid parameter name "mask width".

Sis you install the empty-4 pattern?
It is contained in 0-Empty.7z resource attached in the release thread.

Yes they are all extracted in patterns folder, including Empty1.png & Empty4.png
