I WORK WITH GIMP 2.10.30 AND WANT TO CREATE A TUTORIAL EXECUTED WITH 2.8.2
everything goes well until almost the end.i want to achieve thisbut in the end I get this, which of course is affected by the error messageI understand that there are filters and scripts that no longer work properly with the new gimp implementation, but they can potentially be fixed so that they can be used normally again.if you watch the video, the error occurs during the edit between 7.18 to 7.50https://youtu.be/5djSFwqMlJk the youtube video with the tutorial.pending a solution, I would like to thank the specialists in this matter gimper66

No need to use old scripts / plugins / modify anything.
The time you gave 7' 15" > 7' 40" is creating the background. Standard Gimp 2.10 tools.

I did this using default settings. How do you use it to make the warping in the middle of the letters?

Hi Gimper! These Legacy plugins from the older GIMP versions do not work right with latest versions of GIMP
The quick fix for this is to "Reset the filter": Go to Filters and on top click on "Reset All Filters", then try to re-apply on the layer. You might have to apply the filter twice for the background.

Thank you rich.
I think I got it now only I used the wrong size brush. (My thinking was it needed to fit inside the letters
