https://c1.peakpx.com/wallpaper/187/513 ... lpaper.jpgLots of complaints with my groundhog render being being low quality where I shared it. Thought I would start with a high res input this time to get a better result. May not stay of this binge for long but so long as I am on it, I might as well try to do better.

circle packing is interesting

Thanks for all the kind words. Packing circles been a quest for me ever since I discovered Ben Heine's work. Can't automate his look no matter how hard I try. lol

That's a fine effect I think. Nice one Lylejk!

I don't know what you tried already to automate packing circles, but your work on the eagle did remind me a bit of the box fitting filter in G'MIC, and I told myself
"Oh nice, it would be cool to have a circle option on that filter"
This might not be the same artistic effect of your eagle in your first post, but it can be a start or an idea to find a way to automate with the sizes of the circles dependent of the "intensity" of each channel

The tiny circles are oddly satisfying. ![Painting :paint](./images/smilies/painting.gif)

Yes; box fitting is fun too, Pix; very slow, though using G'MIC but Richard Rosenman PS plugin gives near instantaneous results. Haven't played around with any boxfitting renditions in quite a while.
Again, appreciate the words. Have to do 2 7 hour back to back work days on my part-time job (which is real work compared to my full time weekend job; lol), so might not be back other than lurk. lol
Hope you all have a great rest of the week; only a one day weekend for me. lol

Eagle well oiledThought I would fake an oil painting with this same eagle; felt no need to start another thread.

#12 -- that oiled version is beautiful
-i have used a few filters, scripts to resurrect some old photos that i took that were not quite in focus and made them 'paintings'

Thanks for the feedback. Figured out how to make near realistic bristle drags using a combination of lylejk stencil and anisotrophic smoothing.
