These are so amazing and have been trying to make some of my own. Of course they will look different but i still cant figure how some of these are done . Even so i still have made some interesting things. I need a notebook to remember what i do - but i get excited and jump in and forget to take notes
@Teapot - is #163 two brushes combined to make the inner and outer petals as one brush
before making it around six times ?
thank you

It's one brush and of course symmetry painting to make the six. It looks too dark in daylight today will have to stop working in a darkened room

Ah, symmetry painting not mandala . i understand. I was just playing with that tab too
-my room is a bit dark too .
The thing that bothers me the most about it is that one monitor is lighter and the other is darker and have a problem adjusting the colors ... but when i print , that photo size print is too dark as well
-- a topic for another thread that i am sure others experience as well
Thank you for getting back to me

Teapot - very nice mandala; no worries about the brush, what is mine is yours
This one reeks of experimentation featuring a simple animated brush and some custom brush dynamics I created - I had no idea initially what I was producing but I think the result looks alright.

Another week in lock down, four to go still - so here is a mandala made with a brush I have used previously.

Elegant mandala OMG and another nice brush,.
Post #171 is original and intriguing. Is bevel reflect used for the 3d?
Thu Jul 29, 2021 10:50 pm
Teapot - thanks for your comments. I did not use BRL to get the 3D effect in #171. Once I had all layers completed for the mandala pattern, I performed New layer from visible. Then, on that layer I executed Filters>Distorts>Emboss, I think with default parameters and put that embossed layer in Overlay Mode to produce the final result.

Another brush, another mandala and 6 weeks into lockdown now.

A mandala a day keeps lock down at bay
Here are a couple made with a 'fractal' like brush derived from merging two BRL outcomes, each using new e-maps I created recently.
