Different Effects Gimp Text (Show us yours using gimp)

OK had some issues with curl, and opacity and mask layers
i initially had pink on top and gold under, then gold on top and pink under, both were awful
but i eventually got what i was going for - the see through page curl was a fun challenge
- i still couldnt get colors that I really liked ( more trials ) and went with this one :

Gimp may be golden on the outside - but - there is a lot of colorful fun hidden on the inside
