Have tried a few more.
Not happy with some but others I am very surprised by. Don't know if I have used all the different papercolours & edge settings yet.

Wow, Sallyanne, fantastic carousel. H9 is really outstanding.
It seems that this filter "is in your wheelhouse"(*). Thanks.
Hope to haved found the correct translation of the Italian "è nelle tue corde", which means that is something you like and play at best

Dinasett and Issabella thank you for you comments. I am sure some photos are more suited to this filter.
You have all had lovely outcomes. Ella I like Venice buildings.
I will have to try it without the canvas and also with different borders another time

Ella, excellent outcomes.
BigBen, Tower Bridge and Venice Canal are great, but I like over all Table and Chair, so full of mood.

Ella &
Issabella - such 'fetching' images you have created, well selected and well executed, so well done. Thanks again to
Diego for the plug-in.
Now 3 from a Japan holiday then back to portraits

ok, I did a couple without canvas last night but for some reason they all turned out too light? May have been the colour paper I chose.

@OMGThanks for your Japanese drawings.
I like the Gold House.
@SallyanneThanks for your experiments, it's a good approach to "personalize" the procedure and the outcome.
And, yes, paper colour is relevant (think that the "canvas" adds darker little blobs.
I tried with a more intense paper colour and I got this, w/o canvas:
using Prewitt edges

Another post-processing technique to get more colours is duplicate the top layer (linear burn).
For this I used an almost white paper:
