Agree with you OMG

Very enjoyable to see the variety of splendid outcomes recently.

I have been investigating using the layer output from Wordy3D via a simple plug-in to save all the layers as png files to a nominated folder.
I used the free version of the VSDC to generate a gif file (used it infrequently in the past to create slideshows) but unfortunately had to enter frame positioning manually. If others know of free/open source apps to test with I would be very interested to hear of them.

Recently messing around with the Skinnyhouse's script 3D wordy, then I thought to this thread up

Just watching the ever so prolific GEGL maker, contrast_, and there is no way I can keep up with this GEGL thing, it is moving too fast. So I thought I would just try out an effect similar to one of his most recent pics.

OMG, that's a good use of GEGL filter from contrast_
Issabella, , the genies lamp is a great idea

Just a little quicky using G'MIC to wake up this thread as it would be a shame to get this thread sinking in a forgotten world
Doing 3D maps with G'MIC it's so quick, fast and easy that some time I feel that I'm cheating using it

Using Custom Font Tools

1. Facemaker for basic characters from a gradient layer
2. Highlights to add highlights
3. Facemaker again using a cracked image in split mode to create cracks
4. Faux3D to add body to the cracked characters
5. Embossible to create a box border in another copy of the base characters
6. Metallic Effects to add gold to the box
7. Facemaker to combine the cracked and gold characters
8. Faux3d to add depth to the final version
