I was just playing around with GMIC and found a quick way to make someone look older. I'm sure it's not new to GMIC experts. I used GMIC, Artistic=>Graphic boost and Gimp, Blur (twice). Here's before and after.

Excellent. There's also a plugin or script available called Enhance Details which does a similar thing. Also, texture enhance in G'MIC can be helpful.

I just tried the "Detail enhancer" plugin, I like that one, it's gives a more natural look than GMIC "Graphic boost".

It's pretty good but don't try it on photos of yourself. It's scary!

Odinbc...could you please post the image with the "Detail enhancer" plugin so we can compare and see the differences?

In the interests of making sure the original photographer gets credited, I used Google image search and found his web-site: http://cabeachphotos.blogspot.com/

Thanks for the comparison chart Erisian!
You can really see the differences.

I will be sure to keep both those plugins away from any photos of myself !
I will have my AVG mark it as a threat and quarantine it !
