I've been toying with the flow all afternoon to try to get varying block sizes and the best way I came up with was to create the mask using a smaller image and then uprezzing. Did not post those efforts but to give a bit of hint of the result, see the reply to Patrice. :)

What is very interesting in both you (Diego) and Lyle mosaic is how the "tiles" are following the edges or(and) the way it fills "empty space" or a big single color a bit like man made (if I can say that), very nice.

If you see similarities in the oucomes of my filter and those produced by Lyle manually, is because I wrote -years ago- this filter basing my approach on the experiments conducted by Lyle at that time.
