First i created the plasma layer in Gimp-2.6.11 Then i ran Redfields Fractalious on it (the newest release 1.75). After that it was off to Filter Forge 2.0 for Fractalisious, and then a nifty droste spiral. This one i put through GMIC's Rotoroid filter. |

Wait I think I was wrong, mine might not be a droste spiral, but simply just a spirally thingy, whereas Rod's truely is a Droste effect |

Well, whatever,it looks pretty! When I first came across droste in English language Gimp fora I wondered what it was. The only Droste I knew about was the cocoa and chocolate but those were Dutch. (As a child I was fascinated by the pic of the nurse carrying a box with her on it and so on.) Gerard. |

Look nice I hope i may give a suggestion without that sound as a criticism: when running droste (or droste spiral, or something alike) first apply a rounded corner selection and leave at least 2 pixels from edges ,then fade , you want the image fading to transparency along the edges, and the angle of the corners removed that will soften abrupt transitions,( as you may see in the first on the edges of what was the original image) |
