Very nice result. My roommate does watercolors, like real color on real paper. (It's a huge mess in the kitchen when she goes on an art binge.) The colors in your results are pretty close to what watercolor does though. I also like your choice of model. I'm a bit on an oriental kick as of late too. I keep coming back to cherryblossoms on parchment for some reason. Wonder if this filter would... hmmm. Off I go to fire up gimp again.

I also did watercolour painting and that paper was Arches 100% cold pressed cotton. At that time it was close to $4 per sheet. Hate to see what it costs now. You could do beautiful work with it though.
