A Lot might not know how this animation was done, but it was achieved with 3 scripts set to default

Image

2 clicks and an animated Droste

Image

I recently found 15 scripts in my folders belonging to the person whose tutorials started me on script writing and decided to install and 'Play'

Image

If there are any that I have missed please let me Know

Thanks for asking Rod, I've been busy tidying up my folders and scripts. I noticed that these scripts had not been used on the site recently and are not on GimpScripts, and maybe some members did not Know they existed.
I'll post them as a pkg when I'm sure I have them all

You already have most Fencepost script here you may found few more to create BG or for cool logo effects
(i.e. Lord of the Ring , Chrome ..)

http://fence-post.deviantart.com/gallery/652520

It should be also a Retro background script ,with animated option
and a script to create hidden watermark (quoted here
http://www.gimptalk.com/index.php?/topi ... ntry348045 )

as far i know none was updated for 2.8 , last were for 2.6

Another place to look for Fencepost scripts is gimpdome.com

BTW you have a clone in your list,( 2 versions of Animated Rain)

PC, gimpdome.com is defunct. I think the only place to get FP's scripts are via his account on DA or attached to threads at the various GIMP forums out there.

Maybe he will pop his head in and let us know how he's doing. Here's one he posted on GC a while back.

Flowing Lava and Guts

Graetchan, I'm thinking plastic wrap all layers and lava was the other two scripts used.

I believe i had all of his script but i should search where

For sure all his animation scripts are in the "Gimpvideo" build i did , but i think of that you only miss spinning cube, that is on The deviantart link i posted

And should be a handy script for watermark ( Hidden or not) , and several to create background and logos (my favorite is the Lord of the Ring, but are several others ).

PS The contrast mask script use exactly the same principle of Gmic>Contrast Swiss Mask , but the Gmic version is more powerful for the preview and the many I/O options

All his script i tried were still working on gimp 2.8 but i don't try them all , neither all the options

I know many of his scripts come with PC's GAP package available on Deviant Arts website. :)

yes and are on gimpvideo (sourceforge "free gimp packagers") maybe in a more recent version

But from the screenshoot Graechan has them all , except "spinning cube"

And the logo and background script but should be all or on DA or on gimptalk

Thanks Rod, PhotoComix, and GnuTux for helping me to bring these scripts to light.
I'm hoping they can be placed on GimpScripts. FencePost did a lot for Script writing and a lot of his scripts are yet to be surpassed I especially like his animation scripts

Ditto

I may suggest to add the script already working with 2.8 on gimpscript, and save also the related tutorial, till is possible

This may be impportant Move Path suite is really a powerful tool for animation but use at best a glance to the tutorial (on gimptalk, that hopefully is still online ...but you never know for how long ... ) is helpful..

Most of the other scripts are sufficiently intuitive in the use ,the related tutorial may be always useful but for Move Path suite is almost required

Rod could you attach your pkg of fencepost scripts, except for the kaleidoscope App as I think It requires the actual installer from

Hi all! I've been away from the graphic's scene for quite awhile and started up again this past summer with my focus now on 3D stuff, with a little bit of GIMP mixed in. I was looking for an old script I wrote and couldn't find it on my current computer and started googling. This thread showed up in the search and I hoped the script might here, but alas it's not. However, by a stroke of luck, I remembered I had a backup of all my scripts on another computer that's nearly dead and was able to recover every one of them. Yay me! :)

At any rate, I see y'all have been pressing forward with GIMP and diligently updating my scripts to version 2.8 (which I greatly appreciate). If you're interested in going through the scripts I have that aren't currently available anywhere else, let me know and I'll send you the zip file and a couple of links to tutorials on using the scripts. You can even copy the tutorials from the other sites and post them here if you wish. In some of the scripts (even some you already have), I've added bells and whistles to suit my needs. So, if you feel those alterations might be beneficial to others, by all means, incorporate them where you see fit.

I'd like to say that I'm coming back to GIMP and will be contributing again, but I lost my desire after having a number of bad experiences with people who only seem to be only capable of whining and complaining about things someone has given them completely free and without strings attached. I only give so much, then it's time to stop, which I did.

Keep the faith! Cheers!

Art

Edit: Once you get the scripts posted, I'll update my DA page to link users here to download.

Fencepost I have greatly admired your scripting and started scripting myself after doing your Tutorials which are still on our site for all who are interested, and I'd also appreciate your .zip file posted here.
Scripting keeps me occupied as not much happens here during OZ time.
It's great to hear from you at last as your a legend on the site
