I gotta say, this is fantastic. Though I liked the first variation the best. Checked out your flicker too, loved the leprechaun. I really didn't expect this from GIMP, since I'm a recent convert, but this just persuaded me more. thanks.

Used DAP for the bottle cap rendering and G'MIC to give the caps gloss (yeah; cheated; lol). Below is the DAP forum to get an idea what this cool program can do. I did mainly put it in the G'MIC Group to wish my fellow G'MICers a happy St. Patricks day too, but I didn't feel any pause since I still used quite a lot of GIMP/G'MIC enhancements to the result as I inferred earlier. :)

Check out this thread that I started for using DAP to created Object Oriented renditions (still use a lot of GIMP/G'MIC to sell the result):

Thanks Tux; the Voronoi Stippler has so many uses, from the Traveling Salesman Problem, to rendering mosaics. I still wish I could find a way to render Perculator like output, but that one eludes me and I won't buy an iPad just to be able to create them. lol

:)

I am not typically judgmental of people, but I feel compelled to opine that I think this Chuck Close character seems a bit of a jackass

Oh well; have to concur Saul. Jerks don't live long lives since the bitterness will end up killing them Saul. I shall refrain from using his name for now on and will call it a voronoi inspired mosaic and no longer give his name for the inspiration in any future concoction. :)
