Thanks Pat. The glow (layers of blur) makes all the difference. Here is the blingless version - for the sake of comparison.

Been busy adding a reversed text option to the filter. Worked through several ways of accomplishing this and testing what is to be the final one (I hope) with one or two images before publishing.

This one tries to play about with perspective - more or less.

And this one plays about with the idea of reflections.

The word 'back' reversed seems to offer a number of opportunities for using the filter's reversed text option.

Here's a very, very simple one.

Thanks Pat.

Here's the Back in Business one from the Double Exposure thread - without that effect.

Actually this was one of the first ideas for the recent reversed BACK theme - but I had a lot of trouble sourcing a suitable image to work on. I was going to use an image showing the back of a statue of Hercules but couldn't track down a suitable free-to-use version at a decent size so I took a selection from an image of a fitness instructor.

Filters used: JoinedUp Text; Bump map with marble slab; Lava render on background.

Found myself humming a blast from the past - 'Workin' in a coal mine'. Wondered if the song was to have been written in this digital age, would it have had slightly different lyrics. Apologies to Lee Dorsey and the song's writer and producer Allen Toussaint.

N.B Today's value of one bitcoin (according to preev.com) is $11,050 or £7,803.

The (Wikipedia) source states that the miner in the picture was known as 'The Emperor' and was working on a four foot seam of coal in a colliery somewhere in the Midlands (of England) when this image was taken in 1944.

A similar treatment for the song from the 1940s - apologies to Vera - an amazing lady.

Another one of those songs that was written before the digital age with my attempt at a digital slant here.

I always remembered the song as ‘Message to Martha’ but it appears that the original title, by Burt Bacharach and Hal David, may have been ‘Kentucky Bluebird’.

In the UK it was the version by Adam Faith that entered the charts in 1965. Dionne Warwick’s version was the one that I think most people in the States would recognise - with the title, ‘Message to Michael’.

Anyway it gave me the chance to work with some unfamiliar filters…

Update almost ready - letter rotation and layer opacity options added.

Simple play test illustration below. The left hand line of text show the text along the path as it currently would be displayed.

:coolthup Congrats Skinnyhouse for your scripts. I like your results a lot. The texts look really great. I'm a bit lost how I don't the settings you introduce to get them. I think it'd be helpful if you post some shots of your results. Is it possible for you? Thanks a lot.

Sorry Issabella - not quite sure what you mean. If you mean the latest image then still have to tidy up the script to remove temporary debugging stuff before releasing this version. More than happy to work through my thinking with other images - I keep the gimp xcf files - just let me know which image you mean.

Sorry, Skinnyhouse. I'll wait for your nice version to get the last results which I was referring to. Very spectacular your last outcomes. Thanks a lot for your offering. :tyspin :)

Came across an image from Wikipedia Commons and couldn't resist the implied old Cristmas cracker joke it suggested...
