Great job on the Winter texteffect !

Looks like you used the tutor4u tutorial in companion with ofn-bend-path and a scatterbrush all rolled into one.

I write my text winter,and then use the ofn-bend path to get the shape.then I color the selection of the text white

I made my ice letters from this text as explained in the tutorial above.
I made the snowflakes as explained below.
1-create a new layer above all layers
2-select a brush hardnes 0.50 with a size of +- 20
03-with a spacing 200
04-brush option DYNAMIC-and choose SNOW
05-apply jitter-40 perhaps -50
06-Now slide over the image and spread the snowflakes.

I do not use the snow effect from the YouTube tutorial because that is an older gimp version,and this didn't work as it should be.

Thank you, Gimper for the nice quick tutorial. I did one in a similar fashion awhile back before Ofn Bend Path. I like the frozen effect. You did it beautifully!
