O, I am waiting to see if you use G'mic on some new 'O's, although the current one is so pretty I would hate to see it go.
Here is the current one with GMIC applied to the middle and right one. The left one is like the original. It doesn't look a lot different. I didn't want to get too extreme and lose the O.

Forgive me for playing with your picture, PhotoComix. I really love yours. I G'MIC'd it a bit, too.

Played with the colors a bit.

Maybe someone would share their technique's with GMIC? Like what filter(s) within the GMIC filter they used? There are so many options and everyone has come up with such awesome images! I'll have to play with it and post a couple! (with details)

@Photomaster

i just posted a mini tut viewtopic.php?f=10&t=368
It is a bit minimalistic suppose you have gmic already instyalled

But the basic are there.

For a more advanced used...just remember then layermask may be added also later on to correct the result (without the risk to mess up) and that a effective way to use a layermask is ...activate the layermask but watching not the layermask but the visible

If you like the complessive effect of a "effect layer" but not what does on a certain spot (a face ,o object the sky ) ?
just add a layermask and paint with black at low opacity on that mask (but again watching the visible! that for me is the most important to have control on the result...a layermask is important not for how it looks but foe what does )on that spot to attenuate or remove completly the effect )

I tried PhotoComix's mini tut and it worked out great. I went to try Oregonian's but the link isn't working.
