Beautiful, glad to see so much Christmas spirit. perhaps someone could add the little drummer boy even though he's not in the Bible. Always loved the song though.

wallace: thank you :)! and i promise you i have the cow and calf in the xcf - i'm just not able to make attachments tonight for some reason, and i had trouble uploading the new image too.

You're welcome and attachment size limit is 5MB if it's larger it won't upload, at least that is what has happen to me. Molly seem to be able to upload an xcf file larger then 5MB and I can't figure out why that is.
I have to use "Dropbox" to add a link for the download of the xcf file.

Yes. Attachments are limited to 5MB.

You can compress the xcf with 7-Zip and cut the size by ~50%. I was able to compress the last posted Nativity Scene of 6.5MB to 3.3MB using 7-Zip.

http://www.7-zip.org/

It's available to Linux users as well.

For Fedora..
yum install p7zip

Good idea, forgot about using a compressed zip and 50% reduction is just what we need.
Thanks Tux. :bigthup

molly and wallace: good work on your additions! it's really looking good now - i agree with erisian that the shepherds to the right balanced the composition nicely. but when do we get to see that lantern lit? not until christmas day?

erisian: i'm glad you could see the images now - and thanks :).

Thank you AnMal and Erisian, I have been talking it over and we think the lantern doesn't fit with the theme. Who ever does the next installment can remove that layer and we can come up with maybe a bonfire or a oil lantern but I don't even know if they had oil back then, that is why I put the candle inside........Any ideas?

Here is one if someone wants to give it a go. Wallace, Tux, AnMal, etc. :teeth
