In post #229, I love the glitter bar across the word "glitters". I used to know how to do that, and having senior moments, I cannot do it correctly. Will you kindly share how you did so when you have time? |

Hi Pat - sadly I too had a senior moment and didn't save the original file - and since it was more that two sleeps ago I can only guess at what I did... I used a number of layers starting with the cubist artistic filter on a temporary copy of the font and then applied noise to multiple copies of the letter layers with increasing amounts of blur before merging. Sorry that it's so vague (note to self to save as xcf files in future).

As to hand prints - well possibly! If you are interested there are many custom fonts on the GimpLearn thread - produced mainly by a small number of enthusiasts/addicts.  Why not here? Mainly filesize issues. The custom font (70 plus characters) used above when zipped is still too large for the filesize limit on this site sadly. Best of luck in your quests... |
