Not sure who Princess Orbita is but I have a request. What about a portrait of the Queensland 'Twinnies'? I saw them recently on A Current Affair. They complete sentences for each other and seem to share one brain. If you choose not to I'm not worried :)

Tas_mania - Princess Orbita is a figment of my imagination. As for your request ... I accept the challenge (have you seen their hair )

Yes I see what you mean. I would probably use one of those background removers but that's cheating. Maybe a 'hair brush' :)

Working on Tas_mania's hard challenge, but in the meantime a quick cartoon portrait of Princess Kimono.

Issabella - thank you very much for your kind comments.

Working hard on Tas_mania's 'Twinnie' challenge (above), like trying to create some new brushes to reproduce their hair; so as a by product here is a fantasy sketch portrait of Princess Aurea with long golden locks.

@Tas_mania – here is my response to your request for a “Twinnies portrait”; Paula and Bridgette Powers are identical twins, committed 'wild life warriors' and run a bird sanctuary in Queensland (http://www.twinnies.com.au).

I have to say I took the easy way out with the hair in the end; I did try to replicate their messy, curly style as shown above on Tas's post (#223), but after several attempts and many brush creations, I finally gave up. Another day maybe

A challenging request and a lot of learning; thanks Tas.

Thanks for doing this OMG. I like it a lot - its a bit abstract and a bit impressionist. I had no idea it would be quite hard to do. I thought of it while chainsawing firewood which is a big activity down here :) I bet there are no other portraits of them.

They attribute their condition to agent orange which their father was exposed to. It's never been confirmed, I saw it in the doco on them.

I don't know if your a dad OMG but have a great day tomorrow.
Thanks for this :coolthup and keep up on the portraits even though they are the most challenging form of Gimp art.

BTW my wife/partner saw the pelican in the background (that I missed) she recons they would like it.

Hi OMG. I sent them a copy of the image you posted here :)
Their 'Pelican and Seabird Rescue' is on Steve Irwin Way a few kms past Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo.
I've never been there.
Cheers
