I saw racer-x's terrific, real looking Blender/Gimp wine and cheese image, and whilst I can't match that reality I thought I would try something more surreal :)

I like the anime/manga style so had another attempt ... with Gimp you learn all the time.

George Harrison passed away far too early, nearly 20 years ago now, but here he is anyway ...

Pat - thank you for your kind words; when I started Gimping 5 years back it was all about filters, but this journey into 'painting' with Gimp has become most absorbing and enjoyable, if at times frustrating.

We've had McCartney and Harrison, so now Leonard Cohen (for Ella Louise, who also favours him!). Actually I probably 'bit off more than I can chew' with this portrait, as ageing faces have many subtle nuances ... more to learn!
