There have been a few comments in another thread about using AI to produce images and yes, it produces awesome work. So I thought I would do a portrait of an alien using OMG-AI (also known as GIMP)

My portrait of a sometimes controversial character Megan Rapinoe, who plays football (soccer) for the USA.

Diego - thank you very much. By the way, I agree with your comments in the On giving and taking critique stream.

Given the comments in the deep dream generator art - post your results here thread, I got to thinking, well if AI can do it so can I. :hehe

So I gave the OMG_AI machine the prompt "portrait of bejewelled gypsy princess kneeling with wolf in moonlit glade". Here is the result.

One more wonderful creation. Your Gypsy Princess and wolf are awesome. Also I like the shadow images in the background with the moon. :clap :paint

OMG, i can't say anything different from what I said to Lyle:
"Please, do not get drogued by A.I.
It is NOT a Gimp or Gmic filter, it's a fake creation.
(It has already invaded Deviant Art: 95% of the outcomes there are generated by A.I....alas!)"

You are here one of the few (very few) members who use Gimp to create artistic outcomes.
Please, remain yourself!

Diego - thanks for your comments. I certainly intend to remain loyal to and supportive of OMG_AI ... i.e. me and GIMP.

As I said in my earlier post, if AI can do it then so can I, with continued learning and a little bit of help from my friends. :yes

Good for you looking at an alternative to AI art. In the future this period could look like an AI 'tulip mania'.

I've known for some time that the term 'intelligence' cannot actually be defined. What is it? The fact humans are making an artificial version of something they could never define is a bit of a joke. If AI is so good why hasn't it been applied to World peace? Instead it's used for diversions and short-term entertainment.

What you do is worthy of admiration, OMG. You have a lot of artistic talent and your results are superb.
Spectacular how you apply shadows to give the appropriate volumes for each physiognomy.
Congrats! :clap

Oh Issabella, now I am so embarrassed  but thank you so much for your very kind comments. After 10 years here I still get a lot of fun playing with GIMP in my old age.

Very expressive face (expressions are very difficult to render, and you succeeded!).
Great!

Diego - thank you.

On a roll with red heads; here is a part fantasy/part true life portrait of a doctor I had in hospital a few months back.

Excellent, OMG!
Just a little note: better not to apply a flat regular pattern on the dress.
