Thanks Diego - that is exactly what I meant in post #352 "with a little help from my friends".

My portrait (with some licence) of David Gulpilil, an acclaimed Aboriginal actor, dancer and storyteller who died 2 years ago to the scourge of lung cancer.

I was doing a couple of 'fantasy portraits' then decided to turn them into a cartoon portrait - so here are two recently graduated doctors, celebrating in front of their 'alma mater' , Sydney University.

This started out as a sketch portrait, but ended up as a cross between that and a full on artistic portrait. Bob Hawke was an Oxford University graduate, trade union leader, politician and Prime Minister of Australia from1983-91. He was popular with most shades of politics, loved his beer, his cricket and was a self confessed larrikin.

Delta Goodrem is an Australian musician, songwriter, television personality and actress and just happens to hail from the same Hills area in Sydney where I reside.

Just in time for Christmas, this is Mary Boio Fowler, a 20 years old Australian professional footballer (soccer player), who plays for English Women's Super League club Manchester City and the Australia national team.

Very nice, OMG.
IMO there is a need for a bit of light in the eyes, like in the previous portrait.
I suppose Mary has irregular eyes, as you depicted them, so no comment about that aspect.

Diego - thanks, of course you are right about the eyes - how could I forget. I suppose I was rushing to finish it before today; fixed it and reposted the image

Issabella - thank you.

Continuing with the sporting theme, here is my portrait of Ashleigh Gardener who plays cricket for Australia and who is now touring India with the national team. Ash has indigenous heritage and expresses herself as a " proud Muruwari woman".

Just a note: pay a bit more attention to the places where the hair is over the skin of the face: the hair looks like a wig.
But all the other aspects are well done.

OK thanks Diego, noted - seems that portrait painting is a bit like gardening ... it's never finished and you never stop learning!
