My lightbrite preset followed by motion blur and some G'MIC (Local Orientation) blended in. :)

Cool Lyle. What brush did you use?

Details to the lite-brite GIMPressionist settings below, Issabella. Just got off work (14.5 hours; guy was 30 minutes late) so way too pooped to open GIMP and then see what brush used (and even if I did, GIMPRessionist doesn't show brush when you click brush settings; it diverts to the first brush in the list and it's very aggravating. lol). :)

Thank you so much Lyle for your preset. It's fascinating the effect it creates. Sorry my ignorance but how must I keep it at the end? I mean the extension at the end when saving it to become it in a preset.

Issabella : There's no extension for the presets. But if you're on Windows you must have authorisation to modify in this folder.
On win10 the folder is C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\share\gimp\2.0\gimpressionist\Presets

Hope to help you

Always better IMO to use the personal profile folder.
C:\Users\(userid)\.gimp-2.8\gimpressionist\Presets folder.
And Fran is correct, Issabella, there is no extension in a preset (pure name)

Thank you so much. Both of you, Fran6 and Dinasset helped me to solve my first problem. It is in place and I can see it in preset folder :tyspin
Now, I don't understand what Lyle says about the steps to follow. So my two first tries have been failed.

My relief made up for last night so I got off early this evening. lol

Anyway, once you run the preset (before running the preset, you need to add alpha channel so background will be transparent), you dup, and run motion blur on base layer. :)

Lyle, you seem to be working hard lately, so thank you so much for your help and time. I'm going to try it once again to try a nice result. not today as I'm rather busy but tomorrow. :tyspin
