I'm going to try and create a video using all the images in a slideshow.
Hopefully I'll be able to accomplish this befor the end of this Holiday.

A Ghost, a few clouds and spider moved to the left were edited/added.

It's not easy making videos without any kind of software to help,
but I have Smilebox and the free Online Video Cutter to thank.

Do you need a video or slideshow editor? I know Windows has MovieMaker and Photo Story 3 is old but I recall pretty slick for slideshows.

For basic video editing I like Avidemux. VirtualDub is another basic editor. A warning the VirtualDub main download file is at SourceForge, get the portable version at VideoHelp. XnView and IrfanView will make basic slideshows and if they don't do audio, either AvideMux or VirtualDub can add the music.

Also ffDiaporama (for creating video sequences), very powerful with an intense learning curve.

As for Windows... Movie Maker is no longer supported in Win X or in 8.

It's fairly basic but you can still get Movie Maker and I forgot to mention Blender's Video Sequence Editor (VSE), one of the better free video editors.
