Text was done just using a light brown gradient to colour. Then I did all the outer/inner bevel + emboss. I ran recursive transform to get the extra layers. Last of all I added a lighting effects bump and it turned almost metalic looking.

Just gotta figure out the invisible Gimp splash png. :)

NOTE- The font i downloaded from this website alerted me it was NOT a valid windows font.
