The Warrior,
Excuse me, I should be less lazy and more participatory. But the difficulty with the language really hinders me a lot.
I liked the look you got these manipulations. :coolthup
I even tried to get the same result. Lion downloaded and tried, but could not found anything worthy or different to post. :gaah
A tutorial would be most welcome as I was curious about how you get this result.

There are 7 lion manips in this thread so far, theories aside "The lion is great" seems like an appropriate comment to me. :)

My first was a lion, the rest were other cats. David posted one, then sallyanne, then the comment. ;)

@Warrior
Have you used "Dream Smoothing", to help get the effect?

No I haven't, but that's a good idea. Gonna give a few of them a go. Thanks for the idea. :bigthup

I applied dream smoothing, applied a blue layer over it, and set the layer mode. This is what I came up with. Reminds me of the script, "wisps".

Hey! That's pretty cool looking.
How did you do the entire image? Is there step-by-step instructions anywhere?

Thanks man. I have a Photoshop filter installed in my Gimp, called Fractalius. The filter itself costs like $40, but, if you look hard enough, you may, or may not be able to find it for nothing. Rodilius is similar, but doesn't have quite the same capabilities.

AH HA! It's about time you told us! I was really curious how you got so much detail from the pictures. I used about 6 different layers with different GMIC settings and blend mode to get the colors and I still couldn't get the detail right.

I downloaded the xcf you provided. I was impressed how you did the layering to get that result. Fractalius is cool. :bigthup

Very cool, still better detail than Rodilius.

Another nice thing about Fractalius, is that you can save your settings, and use them again. Nice to go down the 8 presets I have, then adjust from there, if necessary.

$40 bucks! You better use that filter every day for a year. :hehe
I'll look in up, but I'm not willing to pay $40 for it.
I have CS5, is this filter part of CS5?

$40 is ridiculous. I have no idea about CS5. I don't have Photoshop. It's a Redfield filter.
