Warrior

your work shows, what separates the artists from the amateurs,
not to insult anyone, as i think everyone on this site, and everyone
that reads this site, are artists.
i have an other emap similar to the last one, not seamless,
but maybe you could, take the time to do some similar, if you can.
do not mean to be putting the pressure on, as i think you
should not rush an artist. so please take your time.

Been awhile for this. Here's what it looks like without opening a project up:

Got the divider lines between the sections green, and also the small arrows:

What a script looks like unactivated:

The same activated:

Thanks molly, appreciate it. I'm going to release it, but I want to use it for awhile, make sure there isn't anything I've missed. So far, so good.

It's funny all the little things you miss, or don't realize until there's something you finally use.

I know you can change your theme but how do you customize a theme? I would like to add a little color that isn't in any of the gimp themes. If anyone can point me to a tut etc would be great. I tried to search for one here a while ago but couldn't find any thing.
Windows 7, Home Premium, version 2.8.10.

Oh I have worked out how to change the padding color - but nothing else.

I just used the Greenheart theme, and modded it. Changed the color of the panels, etc. But you also have to edit the gtkrc file, to change some of the background, and font colors, set items to true/false, etc. Not hard per se, but you have to keep saving it, open up GIMP to see the change, close GIMP, re-edit the file again, etc. Very time consuming.

Thank you very much The Warrior.
Unfortunately it sounds a bit complicated for me. I'll leave changing/adding code up to the experts.
If it was something easier I would do it. I guess I should feel fortunate that there are themes that I can change.

It's not really as hard as you think. Mostly, it was a matter of changing the color codes. I'm not even close to being a coder. I used Notepad+, made the change, exited out, and it asks if you want to save the change or not. About all there was to it.

Thanks, I might give it a try when I am more awake. I am likely to make a mistake at the moment.

Make sure to make a back up of the gtkrc, so if there's any probs, you still have the stock one.

I can certainly agree that it's a time consuming process.

I was prompted by this thread to have a go at making a theme for myself - a neutral grey theme and I've decided to at least partly use the symbolic icon set as well:

nice theme Warrior, i just a Image that,
however i think the plain green is
easer to read than the green pattern
although the green pattern show more
artistic flare.
let me add an other emap Image

Thanks. I hear ya, I was having a hard time deciding which I liked best myself. I may release 2 versions, one with the pattern, one without. I also once had the main background a teal color, and even though it was kind of cool looking, it was a bit much. The grey works well I think. I did slightly darken the grey that's in the layers dialog, etc. I think the slightly darker color works better, and makes the green show up better as well.
