fascinating, Ella! I know gimp well enough to know that the waves are going from center to edge, but because the gradient is a swirl, it make it look like it's a sawtooth shape going around in a spiral!

When I finished the gradient I thought it would be nice to try the waves on it.
The saw tooth shape I just noticed after applying the waves. A lucky coincidence
