Tin,
One option is the Manhatten Graechan's Script.

Tin and Oregonian, I suppose it’s mostly the specific terms that you don’t understand in German.
I’ve tried to translate them in English.
If there is something not understandable please look at the video tut, pictures can tell a lot sometimes.

groni g, I hope you’re not offended by it. I made this tut many times in English already.

open your image and add an alpha chanel if there isn't one
duplicate the image

filters >> distorts >> whirl and pinch
with these settings

Image

filters >> distorts >> apply lens

Image

make surroundings transparent
lens refraction index 2,20

layers >> scale layer

uncheck the chain and make the layer square (I made 310x310)

Image

layer >> transform >> rotate 180°

layer >> scale layer to image size

alpha to selection

select >> invert

filters >> light and shadow >> drop shadow

Image

blur radius about 1/3 or a bit more the globe size

uncheck allow resizing

select >> none

dropshadow layer >> layer to image size

colors >> colorize

Image

new transparent layer

alpha to selection on sphere layer

highlight te new layer

gradient >> white to transparent >> shape >> shaped spherical

apply the gradient like in the video-tut

select >> none

layermode >> overlay

new tranparent layer

use the ellips tool to draw an ellips

gradient shape on linear

draw a line >> layermode >> grain merge

all layers to image size

I suppose you can understand how to make the new star-brush.
How to move the sphere you can see on the video- tutorial.

Thank you. I've been using version 1 for a while. Nice script (arm chair tools) Dinasset. Also makes great sphere maps.

@Tran, I think you used the brush for creating the orange (conbagui’s tut).
For the sparkles you have to create a new brush.

Click on this icon in the brushes menu.
Image

There will appear a new window.

Image

You have to change it with the following settings.
First click on the rhombic icon, then change the numbers.

Image

There you have your new brush.
