In the first images below, you can see two pieces of bacon. The second image is of a gradient.
Bacon A, is the piece of bacon I made. Bacon B is real bacon.

I created the gradient in the image you see above from a real piece of bacon, using the sample gradient along path.scm and I have provide this gradient for you. ;)

The challenge is "simple", make a piece of bacon.

Hint#1: I used a typical stone pattern to aid me with the texturing of my piece of bacon.

Hint#2: I began creating my bacon by first filling the canvas with the Raw Bacon Gradient.

Hint#3: There is on hit#3. :hehe

The Bacon Challenge Rules
The only rules are, that you may only use Gimp and the tools it provides to create your piece of bacon.
Also, you do not have to use my hints or the gradient I provided.
And finally, your image may not be a copy/paste job and it must be a creation solely of your own.

Have fun and good luck to all who participate.

When I see bacon it usually makes me hungry, but surprisingly your bacon image arouses within me the feeling of patriotism. :hehe
Nice job, :bigthup

Slap a pole on the end and you'll have yourself a pretty tasty looking bacon flag. ImageImage

That's not bad, although it seems that the shape of your bacon is nearly identical to the one I made.
Great effort! :bigthup
