Thanks, Sallyanne. All the results posted to this thread look nice.

Thanks Tux. Mine ended up like a shuffleboard disk... All in the settings... right

Sorry. I posted the wrong template, Molly. I've updated that post with the correct one so you can try again. I used a solid color map, with the Round Bevel & default depth, to get my result but you can experiment with that.

That last one looks pretty cool, though. :hehe

They all look great. Molly, your light blue one makes me think of fine bone china.

Mine, on the other hand, looks like a paper plate to me.

I have no idea Molly why it got the ^ in the first ring from the edge. Maybe the selection followed some of the pattern? I'm sure the selection was a smooth circle.

By the way it does look like broth with a little bit of Chicken? in it.

yes just the kind you get when you buy chicken broth, the chicken parts are just specs.

Thanks I am having my home made chili and crusty bread that would knock your socks off, It called for 3 tbls chili powder and I was out of it so I put in 3 tbls of crushed chili's. I have to keep my tongue on an ice cube between bites.

Both of your results turned out excellent, Molly. Looks like you got the depth just right. :bigthup

Your does look like a bit like fancy paper plate, O. :hehe

For my result, it's already written. I created a template and then used BRL to generate the plate. It's just a matter of learning how to create a template to make BRL do what you want it to do. :cool

Of course, you could do the shadowing and beveling by manually using individual scripts to get a nice result. That could then be scripted.

I see several references here to 'BRL' and templates - can somebody please enlighten this ignoramus as to what is BRL?

Bevel Reflect Logo and you can get it here. http://gimpscripts.com/?s=bevel+
You also need ML Bevel which is right below the BRL to make these scripts work.
