my sister-in-law's birthday is tomorrow and me and erisian got the task of making her a card from all of us sisters and brothers-in-law. i did most of it, in spite of my bad shoulder, and erisian lay sleeping next to me and looked up now and then to tell me what i was doing wrong. but i think that kind of teamwork works well for us, i get to do most of the fun stuff :hehe .

we'll print this evening, so we'd have to be quick about any changes. anyone have something to suggest?

Looks very nice AnMal, I wouldn't change a thing in this group effort. Hi Erisian? I can see that happy smile on your face from here. Glad you are having a great time together. Just like a fairy tale come true. Enjoy.

beautiful!
just one (very little) remark: I would reduce the "blueish" nuance on the top right picture

molly and dinasset: thanks for comments. erisian isn't smiling right now, because he's still a bit affected by his cold, but he's looking a bit more like himself today. dinasset, i can agree the top right picture stands out a bit, but it's not tinted, just the natural colour. i liked the winter dusk shade in it, so i think we'll keep it and now play around with it. a question though: the white blur i put on under the frame looks a bit less succesful now that i see it again. any opinions on that?

edit: an update - decided to play with the colour on the top right pic after all :). and i changed the frame a bit as well.

try to use a fuzzy border totally white as a frame
IMO it would look better

AnMal, this is what I mean by a "white fuzzy border"

I would create a path along the centre of the banner and bend it to the shape of the banner
then with your Happy Birthday text use 'text along path'

Don't you love how trees grow straight up towards the light

I think your s-i-l will like your card immensely
