Hi all,
Thought I'd share a few of the things I've done in chronological order so you can see how things have evolved, as I've learned new things about GIMP (I learn something new with every picture!)
I started a couple of years ago now, illustrating "tics" as uttered by Jess Thom (a.k.a Tourettes Hero -
http://www.touretteshero.com/) She uses her site as a vehicle to raise awareness of tourettes, and prove it's not all about swearing (though a lot of it is!)
The first couple I did were first drawn in pencil, then "inked" in biro, then scanned and coloured in GIMP:
This one was to illustrate "Who loves sticky buns? Romans"
Then came "Samuel Pepys: Lawn Muncher..
Then it was "Plato's Earthenware Ceramics"..
There are a few more on the site (along with a lot of others by some brilliantly talented people)
Then this year I decided to start re-drawing/finishing some of my drawings from a few years back.
The first one I completed was this one..
Then I decided to design a birthday card for my mate (and birding companion)..
Then came the "Dragon Capo" that I've posted already and now I'm working on the zombie pic..
Hope this serves as inspiration to someone. Any questions about techniques I've used please ask away!!
Cheers
