I like the coloring/painted style. This is in Krita right? It has that polish look that your stuff in krita looks like.
I really like the lighting with the "fairy dust" like effect since light always catches the particles in the air, makes it look really life like. - I think maybe the stem could use a little more light but maybe not. I'm not decided what I think about that.

I'm sure your mother will like this!
