That's one cool dog! And he has "hot dogs". If this is an old image though, just remember that you should make new images for the RAP, otherwise it defeats the purpose of this exercise.


A nice, quick study merrak! Indeed, sketches and quick studies are perfect matches for the RAP. You did an image you otherwise wouldn't have done, which is the point.

This image was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the subject...

2-ton: i have to admit that's a bit more macabre than i had expected of you i like the composition, it's a strong image.

Yeah, I do hate slasher movies and blood and the like, but when I saw the word knife, this image just popped into my head. Go figure.
I also could not find the G'Mic filter I was looking for...I thought it used to be in arrays and frames, and it took a layer and made a bunch of copies, each one smaller than the other, and went off into infinity. I think it was called tunnel of something, and you could set it to which direction it would taper off to. I wanted to do the text that way.

When the randomizer spit out this prompt, my first thought was this old image (which I can't use for this, obviously, but it would have fit nicely).

I like the text "lighting sharp" being literally interpreted through a knife with electricity. Nifty!

Yeah, this is the type of imagery that comes to mind for me too for this theme. I guess ever since "Psycho" knifes can never be looked upon with a neutral eye again.

EDIT ... back already! I was originally going to do something with Crocodile Dundee's famous line "That's not a knife ... THAT'S A KNIFE', but it seemed too obvious; so

me too, me too! cute knives please. i used to have a knife phobia (for real, i still chop onions with a table knife if i don't have an onion chopper), but a friend of mine who's a chef bought some really cute flower patterned pink chef's knives and i could use them without too much problem.

oldmangrumpy: that is awesome! very creative, nicely executed.

i'm having problems with mine! the first image i got in my head was an elegantly shaped mughal knife that i have always wanted to paint, but my computer is painfully slow, the touchpad is broken, the mouse is dodgy and my gimp is on a usb-stick that gets ejected by accident every time i breathe or so. so far, i've got some of the blade done.

I like both the scrabble one (very creative, while avoiding the literal knife!) and the Crocodile Dundee one! The latter is really something from my childhood. Ever since that movie, I could never resist making the "THAT's a knife" reference whenever seeing a large bowie type knife in a ship or elsewhere.
