Nice one Issabella - I like the 'cut out' approach! But you cannot take the puppy home.

Marcello, lighthouses like those above, feature prominently in the landscape. May I please take the liberty of adding one in here for anybody who wishes to play with it - it is Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse in the far south western corner of Australia. I took the photo 2 years ago and with help from GIMP/GMIC here is a 'sketch' of it and also I used my favourite GIMP filter to embellish it too ...

@Marcello: is it possible that the source author name is Albert Bierstadt? He is a famous landscape painter (primarily mountains)

yes dinasset - this is a replica of SIERRA NEVADA COVE of Albert Bierstadt (famous for very large west landscapes)
