I often start sketching around but don't finish the painting. I had a few unfinished bits in my XCF folder so I thought I would paste them into a new image and fill in the gaps. It was really fun to do because there were no rules or structures to follow.

Quite a surreal image! I like all the different aspects and how they seem to go together even though there is not clear theme to tie them.

erisian: you've heard most of what i could say about this one already, so i'll just say how much i like it because i've seen it wor so many times now and i still discover things in it. i'll also say that i hope you'll play around and just have fun more in the future - you need it, it helps you develop your style and we get to see nice results like this. now i'm off to work, you're a horrible man who gets to sleep longer!

And if I may be so bold, I believe that's just how it should be! Right AnMal? :hi5

Wow Eris, you should have moved to Sweden a long time ago. Your art and style has done a 90% improvement.

erisian: well, to be fair you do that sometimes on weekends if i sleep long enough...

Moko - :hoh

sallyanne - thank you :)

Molly - Something about Sweden makes me want to paint but sitting with AnMal while she is Gimping is also an inspiration. The rest is understanding more and more how simple painting should really be. :)

AnMal - we've run out of tea - I hope you like coffee!
