"You must have eyes in the back of your neck!" the Jester cried and stomped her foot on the floor, exasperated. "You always catch me! At this rate I'll be completely biscuit-less!"

The Cook scratched his bearded chin, contemplating if he should really be giving the grand secret away. "Well ...", he finally said, "You carry bells on your head you know ..."

"I fail to see why that's relevant" said the Jester and headed for the door. "Now turn around. You'll never notice me THIS time ..."

Done for the Random Art Prompt with the theme "A forbidden desire". The desire for biscuits is a powerful one! Comments and feedback welcome as always.

That grin went through a bunch of revisions but I was pretty happy with it in the end.


It's always fun to add some things to make a scene more "populated" and "lived in" I think. That's the drawback of more conceptual images - one tends to show of a face or a person without much stuff around them to indicate the world they are in. Glad you like her expression!

Heheh I love this piece Griatch! The Jester's guilty grin and the chef's raised eyebrow - great emotional content . I am also a fan of your lighting - the way the light is shining upwards at them and the shadow of her hand against her chest - awesome work!
