(click for much, much larger DA version)

Afterglow, made in an impressionist style for the "afterglow" Random Art Prompt. As with all impressionist paintings, consider watching this one by stepping away from your screen.

Made in Krita with the Wolthera "impressionist" brush. No further processing was done. Comments and feedback are welcome as always!

more or less something on the same "wave-length" (to be seen a bit far from the screen).
A painting of mine
- acrylic on wood.
Ostia at sunset.

...modified using Gimp+G'mic to get a simil-pointillistic effect

Took a photo and made my impression of afterglow. This is my third try for afterglow, the other two just didn't work! *this is in the wrong thread, isn't it.

@dinasset

I think I preferer the non-processed version of your image. It's interesting that this effect on a impressionist style is to loosen up the strokes and sort of make the whole image a little more "blurry" if you will.

@2-ton

Yep, nice image but wrong thread. :)

It has a very Rembrandt feel to it...I might be wrong style wise, it's the strokes I think is what makes me think of Rembrandt. I like this a lot!
