I'm quite satisfied of the results, very close to those obtained using the standard version, with all the prerequisites.
Another step on the way to have a set of filters using only Gimp features.

@Issabella: thanks for your images, you know I like DaveHill effect, glad you like it too
@Pat: nice use of the filter, maybe -depending on the image- the one without G'MIC has some slightly different but nicer outcome, and that's good, it's like make a tasty cake without using a costly ingredient of the original recipe...
